Challenge:
Working alongside B2B Agency Mason Zimbler, Omni were asked to produce a cutting edge Flash based portal website to accompany the release of three major products: Microsoft's Windows Vista, Exchange Server 2007 and Microsoft Office system 2007 - the biggest launch Microsoft have had in 10 years.

The site needed to allow users access to all of the related sites scattered around the web as well as to have some fun and to explore a related environment.
Solution:
Desktop Machine – holds video recourses and links to desktop upgrade info.

Palm Pilot – the mouse turns into a stylus and you can explore the palm as if it were in your hand, read text messages, watch video.

Desk Drawer – open the drawer to reveal accounts info and a hidden demo disc for the earliest versions of the software with an original office memo included.

Video Player – a windows media player skinned Flash video allowed all related online video resources to be viewed via the site.

Picture Viewer – plays a slide show of the publics images and connects to the WOW website.

DVDs – allow the viewer to link to the downloads for demo and beta versions.

Coffee Table Book – pages turn to reveal the imagery from the desktop upgrade.

Site Map – breaks the site down into the related areas.

Diary – a diary of events related to the launch, uses the actual date as references for the pages.

WOW Racer – play a 2 player racing game – 10 laps in the fastest time.

Wallet – business cards can be taken from the wallet to see related Blog links and support sites.

MP3 Player – visitor can listen to related audio articles.

Printer – white papers relating to the various upgrades can be downloaded.

Plasma screen and Xbox – user can watch 2 x trailers for Halo 3 on the Xbox.
