Aim higher
Challenge: | Aimhigher is a programme run by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) with support from the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). Aimhigher seeks to widen participation in higher education by raising the awareness, aspirations and attainment of young people from under-represented groups. The first of our projects with AImhigher was to produce a film that was used in schools to dispel the myth of a ‘University Type’. We showed the viewers that Higher Education is for everyone, regardless of social and economic backgrounds, ethnic group and disability. The challenge of our second film was to inspire young people at school age to see what value a degree could offer them, by outlining the specific benefits of going to university as well as address any concerns they might have attending. |
