An even greener Omni

Omni are now able to offer a greener print turnaround service to our clients after encouraging new collaborations with a UK top 200 printing service who recently achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard award, only held by a small percentage of printers in the UK. Also, being announced as the Green Company of the Year by the Chambers of Commerce at the South West Regional Awards this collaboration is the perfect combination for a greener future in design.

50% less power, 8 times less water and speeding up the print process has resulted in volatile organic compound (VOC) being incredibly, over a ton less than before.

Omni are using printers rated in the top 1% within the UK by the print buyer of Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth. This means only renewable paper resources in fully sustainable forests that actively help in the reduction of C02 and other greenhouse gasses, are used and land fill waste is reduced up to 70% by these services.

What this means for our clients is that from over 90% of our future print related quotes, Omni will provide two printing options: Firstly our standard printers and secondly a green option for your consideration.

It’s as simple as that. Think of it as a ‘taste the difference’ or an ‘organic’ choice at your local supermarket, both delivering exceptionally high quality, but one is, how shall we say it...‘greener’?

Omni are very aware of sustainability:

• Our new offices have been designed with optimum natural light sources to save on the need for extra lighting.

• What lighting we have is either low power fluorescent or on dimmers.

• Every desk has a recycle bin for paper and card, which is collected weekly.

• All plastic and glass waste is collected in the kitchen and are taken to one of Bristol's many Recycle Centers when full.

• Heating is only put on when required or on a timer system.

• All computers and other equipment is switched off (not on standby) at the end of each day.
