Content Management Systems - CMS

'CMS' stands for Content Management System, and is essentially a back-end to your website which allows you to manage your own content at your leisure via a secure log-in area.

At the start of a project Omni will work with you to specify which areas of the site need to be on a CMS.

A CMS can be as simple as being able to administer one page, such as 'Recent News', or can be a sophisticated system that allows you to expand your entire site, adding images, blogs, calendars, digital files, features, games etc., and can restrict access to different users so that you can issue unique passwords to members of staff.

The CMS is available for both Flash and HTML sites and among many other features it can allow the user to:

• Amend all text throughout the site without losing formatting
• Add external and internal links to all body copy and titles throughout the site
• Allocate specific areas of the CMS to specific users
• Add to and amend news items
• Administer, send and archive newsletters
• Add featured link image icons
• Export marketing information in Excel format

• Add any format of download to pages

• Upload new images and photographs with auto re-sizing functions
• Include multiple language options
• Add browser title info for improved Search Engine results
• Manage database information
• Profile users, where they are from, how they are finding your business.
• Supply valuable statistics for marketing research and development of the site
• Allow you to add browser title meta details to help SEO on specifically targeted landing pages
