Budgeting system for kids

We have recently finished a simple yet effective online budgeting system for kids to help them understand and manage their finances when producing a short film.

Each year Ablaze Bristol collaborate with Clerical Medical to give local school kids the opportunity to work on a short films and during the process understand how to manage a fixed budget. This effective and engaging project, managed by Hugh Thomas – Bristol City Council, also allows the participants to work alongside local, professional filmmakers.

Students are inspired with creative thought and storytelling techniques, together with understanding that it is as equally as important to manage your finances effectively when producing creative work. The films are then collected together and presented on a DVD or CDROM and distributed to everyone who took part.
